The Cultural Integrity:

Missing her accostumed life back home and being homesicked, an Idea is born in the head of a young lady. Noribhel Paca, who came to Germany as a guest worker at a young age, started beating the drums together with a few compatriots who are stationed in Berlin.

The modern age of communication technology made it possible to turn the Idea into reality.

Thanks to Noribhel Paca and the sincere engagement of the first elected President Clint Bangwa ( who's stationed in Munich, Bavaria) and also the tireless energy of the Boardmember Sandra Roxas (n'ee Miehle from the Bavarian-Igorot clan) and the strong support of every single Igorot officers and members, the Cordellira-Germany is now Legitimated and is now officialy a recognized Organization not only here in Germany but in the whole European Union.

Due to the great courage and will of every member involved, the establishing of the Organization is successful despite the obstacles caused by the ongoing Pandemic rules.

The Organization have an uncomplicated system and have a civilized, mellow temperament with a broadminded way of promoting the Igorot's old values and cultures.

According to the Facebook plattform of Cordillera_Germany, the organization have now 181 members.

Die Kulturelle Integrität:

Da sie ihr gewöhntes Leben zu Hause vermisst und Heimweh hat, wird im Kopf einer jungen Dame eine Idee geboren. Noribhel Paca, der schon in jungen Jahren als Gastarbeiter nach Deutschland kam, began gemeinsam mit einigen in Berlin stationierten Landsleuten, die Trommeln zu schlagen.

Das Moderne Zeitalter des Kommunikationstechnik machte es, die Idee in Realität umzusetzen.

Dank an Noribhel Paca und das aufrichtigen Engagement des ersten gewählten Präsidenten Clint Bangwa (der in München, Bayern stationiert) und auch der unermüdliche Energie des Vorstansmitglied Sandra Roxas (geb. Miehle aus der Bayer-Igorot-clan) und dem starken Unterstützung von jedem einzelnen Igorot-Vorstand und -Mitglieder  ist Cordillera-Deutschland legitimiert und jetzt Offiziell anerkannte Organisation nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern in den gesamten Europäischen Union.

Durch den Großen mut und Wille jeden einzelnen beteiligten Mitgliedern ist die Etablierung der Organisation Erfolgreich trotz Hindernissen verursacht durch die laufenden Pandemie Regeln.

Die Organisation hat ein Unkompliziertes System und hat ein Zivilisiertes, sanftes Temperament mit ein großzügigen Art, der Alten Werte und Kulturen der Igorot zu fördern.

Laut der Facebook Plattform von Cordilllera-Germany, die Organisation hat jetzt 181 Mitgliedern.

The members of the Cordillera- Germany are scattered all over Germany and some have a well organized regional groups like the Lang-ay of Frankfurt, the Solibao of Northrhein-Westfallen, Berlin and the Bavarians. 

Canyao (Canao?)

Despite christianity, the Lucnab folk are still stuck to the old rituals and beliefs.

The Video shown above is one of the welknown part of a Canyao rituals. It is called a "Tinaktakyan Dance" from the Kankana-ey tribe. The instruments are out of two or sometimes four Gansa, two small iron rods and a Solibao. 

The "Tinaktakyan" dance, as explained to me by an old Shaman (Manbunong) when I was a girl of six, is an Eagle soaring down attacking a Hen who is trying to protect her chicks. The man dancer represents the Eagle and the woman the mother Hen. Whatever, the old Shaman did his best to explain it in a simple way, maybe it has a deeper meaning, but that's all what I remember.

There are three old major tribes in Lucnab who are responsible for the maintenance and perpetuation of the old culture namely, the Kankana-eys, the Mandek-eys and the Kalanguyas.

The Igorot Gansa, I say Gansa because that's the right pronounciation and not Gangsa, it is a Gong with different diameters and smooth surface of  4 to 5 cm  rim and  out of bronze.

Unlike the Java Gendang with two membrane, the Benguet Solibao have a narrow and hollow cylinder form out of a solid wood  and have only one membrane.

The Lucnab people have three names for the modernized Names described under:

                                                        Canyao               Shaman        and       Medium

for the Kankana-eys they say  "manpangan", "manbunong" and the  "mansib-ok"

for the Mandek-eys they say   "manlagga",     "mabunong "  and the  "masi'-bok"

for the Kalanguyas they say    "manglot or manbakki",        "mabunong"   and the   "mahi'-bok"

Canyao

Trotz des Christentums haltet das Lucnab Volk immer noch an den alten Ritualen und Überzeugungen fest.

 Das oben gezeigte Video ist einer der bekannteste Art eines Canyao-Rituals. Es wird "Tinaktakyan Tanz" genannt, aus dem Kankana-ey Stamm.

Die "Tinaktakyan", wie ein alte Shamane mir damals als sechsjähriges Mädchen erklärt hatte, ist ein Adler, der eine Henne angreift, die versucht, ihre Küken zu beschützen. Der Tänzer repräsentiert den Adler und die Tänzerin, die Mutterhenne. Wie auch immer, der alte Shamane tat sein Bestes, um es mir auf einfache Weise zu erklären. Vielleicht hatte es eine tiefere Bedeutung, aber das ist alles woran ich mich erinnern kann.

Es gibt drei Hauptstämme in Lucnab, die für die Pflege und Aufrechterhaltung der alten Kultur verantwortlich sind. Nämlich die Kankana-eys, die Mandek-eys und die Kalangoyas.
